Approvals
Case 18-T-0202 – Eight Point Wind, LLC. A 16.5-mile, 115 kV transmission line proposed to connect the Eight Point Wind energy center in the Towns of West Union and Greenwood, Steuben County, to the NYSEG 115 kV Bennett Substation in Hornellesville, Steuben County, and to construct the point of interconnection facilities, approved by the Commission in October 18, 2019.
Case 13-T-0585 – Cricket Valley Energy Center, LLC. A 14.6-mile, 345 kV transmission line proposed to connect the Cricket Valley Energy Center to the Pleasant Valley Substation in Pleasant Valley, Dutchess County, and to reconductor an existing 345 kV line, in the Town of Dover, Dutchess County, approved by the Commission on April 20, 2016.
Case 14-T-0206 – Emkey Gathering, LLC. A 1.43-mile, steel natural gas pipeline proposed in the Town of Busti, Chautauqua County, approved by the Commission on August 7, 2014.
Cases 13-T-0538, 10-T-0350 – Williams Field Services Co., LLC and DMP New York, Inc. Order authorizing construction and operation of a second fuel gas transmission line adjacent to the right-of-way (“ROW”) of a previously authorized (see Case 10-T-0350 below) gas transmission line and an amendment to the Certificate of Environmental Compatibility and Public Need to authorize expansion of an existing compressor station and expansion of the previously approved ROW to accommodate the pipeline, issued by the Commission on October 16, 2015.
Case 11-T-0116 – Long Island Power Authority. Order authorizing LIPA to replace insulators on LIPA’s existing 10.6 mile electric transmission line, increasing design capacity from 69 kV to 138 kV, issued by the Commission on July 12, 2012.
Case 08-T-1388 – Long Island Power Authority. Order authorizing installation of a second 138 kV electric transmission facility in the certified underground conduit from the Riverhead Substation to the Canal substation, issued by the Commission on December 21, 2009.
Case 10-T-0139 – Champlain Hudson Power Express, Inc. A 330-mile transmission line proposed from the New York/Canada border to a converter station in Astoria, Queens, approved by the Commission on April 18, 2013. The firm represented an intervenor in the case.
Case 10-T-0350 – DMP New York, Inc. and Laser Northeast Gathering Company, LLC. Order authorizing construction and operation of a natural gas gathering pipeline and gas compressor station in the Town of Windsor, Broome County, issued by the Commission on February 22, 2011.
Case 08-T-0034 – Hudson Transmission Partners, LLC. A 345 kV submarine / underground electric transmission link proposed between midtown Manhattan and the neighboring regional electric system in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland, approved by the Commission on September 15, 2010. The firm represented an intervenor in the case.
Case 07-T-0140 – Noble Wethersfield Windpark, LLC. A 5.5-mile, 230 kV overhead transmission facility from a wind park in the Town of Wethersfield, Wyoming County, to a switchyard in the Town of Orangeville, Wyoming County, approved by the Commission on December 21, 2007.
Case 04-T-1687 – Long Island Power Authority. A 13-mile, 345 kV electric transmission facility, the Newbridge Road Connector, proposed in the Towns of Hempstead and Oyster Bay, Nassau County, and the Town of Huntington, Nassau County, approved by the Commission on November 23, 2005.
Case 04-T-0790 – Calpine Bethpage 3 Pipeline Construction Co., Inc. and Calpine Corporation. An approximately 5,400-foot gas transmission pipeline proposed to connect the Bethpage 3 Energy Center Generation project with the KeySpan natural gas system in the Towns of Hempstead and Oyster Bay, Nassau County, approved by the Commission on August 26, 2004.
Case 02-T-0521 – Arthur Kill Power LLC. An approximately 2.3-mile gas transmission pipeline proposed to enhance gas delivery to the Arthur Kill Power Plant in the Borough of Staten Island, Richmond County, approved by the Commission on June 21, 2002.
Case 02-T-0013 – Fortistar South Avenue LLC. Application for an approximately 1.3-mile, 138 kV transmission line proposed between the South Avenue Generation Project to the Fresh Kills substation, submitted on January 8, 2002.
Case 92-T-0114 – Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. A 29-mile, 345 kV transmission line proposed from the Independence Station cogenerating facility in the Town of Scriba, Oswego County, to Niagara Mohawk’s existing substation in the Town of Scriba and Niagara Mohawk’s existing Clay Substation in the Town of Clay, Onondaga County, approved by the Commission on August 20, 1993. The firm represented the cogeneration project developer supporting the Article VII project.
